According to the NHS Workforce and Race Equality Standard, 41% of Black colleagues said that they were being bullied, harassed, or abused compared to 18% of non-black staff in similar roles.
The underrepresentation of Black Women is continuing … The Snowy White Peaks report highlighted that in London, a city where 42% of the workforce and patients are either BLACK or other ethnic group, 17 out of 40 trusts had all non-black boards. (How is this even possible.
Hence, BWIC was founded to provide the necessary support for every black woman working within health and social care whether as a Care Assistant, GP, social worker, HR, public health consultants, executives & non-executives, and specialists; it does not matter we will help you fight against workplace discrimination, ensure you have access to equal opportunities and champion your growth.
