According to the NHS Workforce and Race Equality Standard, 41% of Black colleagues said that they were being bullied, harassed, or abused compared to 18% of non-black staff in similar roles.
The underrepresentation of Black Women is continuing … The Snowy White Peaks report highlighted that in London, a city where 42% of the workforce and patients are either BLACK or other ethnic group, 17 out of 40 trusts had all non-black boards. (How is this even possible. Hence, BWIC was founded to provide the necessary support for every black woman working within health and social care whether as a Care Assistant, GP, social worker, HR, public health consultants, executives & non-executives, and specialists; it does not matter we will help you fight against workplace discrimination, ensure you have access to equal opportunities and champion your growth.

We bring more than 10 years’ senior experience forging collaborations across government, private sector and international forums.
Purpose: Our purpose is for every Black Women in Care to be well equipped with the tools and resources needed to be the best version of themselves personally and professionally and we are dedicated in achieving that.
