Nomination Form 2026
The Black Women in Care Award for Outstanding in Leadership acknowledges the significance of effective leadership and management in the health and social care industry at all levels. These awards endorse exceptional leadership, excellent service delivery, and best practices in Health and Social Care, including Community Care, Care Homes, and the NHS. They also honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional excellence in their respective fields. Nineteen award categories are available for nominations, whether you are a Care Assistant, Care Manager, Director, Unpaid Career, or Physician. These awards have been running for over three years and have been continuously successful.
We recognize and appreciate the hard work of those who provide care, so we would like to acknowledge it through these awards.
The award night begins with a drink reception, dinner, and further surprise entertainment.
Nomination Date
DATE: Nominations starts on 1st of August
The nominations close on the 10th of October, 2026.
This award is open to self-nomination.
How to nominate?
The best way to enter is via our online nomination form below.
For entries via the nomination form:
- Choose the category or categories for which you want to nominate your colleague or yourself. If you are entering more than one category, please make a separate entry for each category.
- Read the category judging criteria carefully.
- Write an account of no more than 300 words saying why your colleague (or you) should be considered. An additional account from a colleague is helpful but not essential.
- Please make sure that the name of the nominee / entrant and the award category is included on all separate pieces of supporting information.
- Fill in the online booking form below by the closing date.
Rules for entry
- The awards are open to anyone working in services directly or indirectly related to social care
- All entries are treated confidentially.
- Entries will be judged by a panel of reputable independent and impartial adjudicators.
- Online entries only
- Judges reserve the right to move candidates to alternative categories if appropriate
- All finalists will be invited to attend the Gala Awards where the category winners will be announced
